Comes as standard. Let’s you deploy & manage virtual machines (VMs) as required. We maintain the platform for you.

VDC Assist

Helps businesses moving to the cloud. We assist implementation & provide comprehensive training plus on-going assistance as needed.

Q. What is VDC Self-care?
A. This is the standard form of the Interoute VDC offering.  It provides the ability to deploy virtual machines as required. Interoute maintain the platform and you will be responsible for managing and maintaining your virtual machines.  It suits a range of requirements delivering customers with the high level of flexibility provided by self-service VDC.

Q. What is VDC Assist?
A. VDC Assist builds on the Self-care offering by providing help to organisations that want to make the move to the cloud. With this service Interoute will help to implement the solution, provide you with training on how to best utilise the platform. We provide on-going assistance when required.

Once again, Interoute maintain the platform and customers will be responsible for managing and maintaining their virtual machines.

Q. What is VDC Managed?
A. With the VDC Managed service, Interoute will manage your virtual machines up to the operating system (OS) together with the platform to provide a solution-based service level. This includes the full provisioning, monitoring, management and fault resolution/incident management for any issues with the virtual machine.

Interoute provides you with a view of the monitoring through the our customer portal, MyServices. The MyServices portal enables users to monitor core system performance, statistics for SLA measurement, backup detail, and application performance (according to the services deployed).  The Hosting Dashboard gives a high level view of core utilisation statistics. Further information on elements such as memory, processor, volume and swap usage, packets in/out and number of processes running can be viewed on a server by server basis and can be viewed on a scale from one hour to three months.

Interoute can also incorporate the performance monitoring of the operating system if required and, equally, the monitoring alerts can be configured to alert the internal customer support teams to give added value to the Interoute monitoring solution.

In addition to the 24x7 real-time, proactive monitoring that is taking place, Interoute will also deliver scheduled health checks and reports.

A. With this service level, we provide you with the peace of mind that databases and applications are managed by a team of experts around the clock. Our proven pedigree spans three decades, working with over 300 customers to manage their key databases and applications.
