Interoute Intelligent Conference allows a group of people to conduct a ‘virtual meeting’ without needing to be in the same location and without incurring any bureau service conference charges or other additional call charges.

The facility is particularly useful for field-based personnel including consultants, sales and service staff and for staff spread across multi-site organisations since the cost associated with travelling to meetings can often be avoided. It is ideal for mobile employees and can be accessed from office extensions or any telephony enabled device.

Use will be familiar to anyone who has used a third party conference service – a specific number is dialled to join in the conference. As the conference number is ‘on-net’ to the customer, calls to it are free. For external attendees such as suppliers or customers, a conventional PSTN number may be given, which would be chargeable to the attendee, but overall costs would still be substantially less than using a conventional service.
