Unified communications 'will revolutionise business telecoms'
New unified communication systems are set to revolutionise the telecommunications of European businesses, an industry expert has claimed.
Writing on the industryweek.com website, Microsoft's Tyler Bryson explained that a successful unified communication system can help change the way a business' workers create and access information and collaborate with colleagues in the workplace.
He added that the best unified communication systems give firms the "ability to share information instantly and communicate in ways that transcend the boundaries of time and distance".
What's more, Mr Bryson said new systems were further improving how unified communication systems work with partner businesses and offices.
"These technologies will enable people to reach co-workers, colleagues, and customers instantly and securely, no matter where they are," he explained
"In addition, this new generation of communications solutions will include video conferencing and collaboration tools that will make virtual meeting more like meeting people face-to-face.
"These new communications technologies represent the next steps toward streamlined, integrated communications that will enable people to be more productive, more creative, and to stay in touch more easily without being limited by the device they have at hand or the network they are connected to."
