Most SMEs want an all-encompassing mobile operator
The majority of small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK would like to have a mobile operator that is capable of coping with all of their communication needs.
That is according to new research conducted for Accuris Networks by University College Dublin Michael Smurfit School of Business, which revealed that nine out of ten firms questioned want a dual mode GSM/WiFi service.
It was found that companies want a service that allows them to use a single mobile device for all communication, which not only helps to improve the flexibility and efficiency of their operation, but helps to cut costs too.
Commenting on the findings, John Barron of Marketing at Accuris Networks, said: "The research study was timely considering mobile operators in the UK and Ireland are beginning to bundle boadband as part of their overall service offering to both their business and consumer customers."
In addition, the firm noted: "Once again this has to be viewed as a positive. With the low cost calls that Voice over WiFi delivers, mobile operators can finally shed the image of being a high cost communications provider. In terms of business image, mobile operators can offer SME clients a VoIP number as part of their package plan, cutting the cord with the traditional desk phone once and for all."
