IT workers happy, finds survey
Three quarters of IT workers would recommend the profession to their children, new research has found.
According to a poll conducted by the IT Job Board, 70 per cent of IT professionals also expected a job rise in the next 12 months.
The research - undertaken in conjunction with recruitment firm Barkers for an April think-tank event called 'the future of IT recruitment' revealed that 86 per cent of the sector's workers expected to change jobs voluntarily in the next three years.
Alex Farrell, managing director of the IT Job Board, said: "The over-riding conclusion of the research is that the IT sector is perceived to be a rewarding industry in which to work."
Robert Peasnell, managing director of Barkers, added that the benefits of technology could not be "underestimated" and the research suggests that organisations are still investing in it.
The IT Job Board claims to work with the sector's leading European businesses and recruitment firms to offer thousands of jobs continent-wide everyday.
