German businesses 'don't have the infrastructure to implement unified communication strategies'

Tue 11-Mar-2008

A new report has suggested that businesses in Germany should adopt unified communication strategies.

Published by Berlecon Research, the VoIP and Unified Communications 2008 study looked at the present and planned use of IP-based communication technologies in German enterprises.

Analyst Philipp Bohn explained that the study found that German businesses did understand the importance of integrating different communication channels and three quarters said they knew that unified communication systems would improve profitability.

However, the research also found that many German enterprises lack the necessary infrastructure to successfully implement a successful unified communication solution.

In particular, the report highlighted the fact that more than half of all German enterprises are yet to adopt VoIP systems and have no plans to do so in the coming months.

Mr Bohn added that German firms needed to be convinced that VoIP was a safe and secure technology.ADNFCR-1505-ID-18504192-ADNFCR
