European businesses 'could consider managed VoIP systems'
Businesses thinking of switching to VoIP systems need to make sure their organisation is ready for the change, industry expert have claimed.
Website tmcnet.com reported that VoIP systems helped provide an "increase in productivity and enhanced mobility of the workforce" for businesses.
However, it explained that "certain preconditions should be met" needed to be met before VoIP could be successfully implemented.
"First and foremost, the facilitating institutions need to have certain technical skills to make the transition smooth and hassle free. The risks of transition have to be brought to a minimum. Moreover, the quality of voice has to conform to established standards."
As a result, the website said that many European businesses were increasingly opting for "managed VoIP services".
IT concluded: "The managed services provider offer equipment and software, technical support as well as the centers for network operations, thereby making the entire process of transition as painless as possible for the facilitating organisations."
