Team Description:
The Data Center team in Geneva is responsible for managed and collocated customer servers.
Responsibilities/Main Duties:

Monitor and manage the Datacenter Network (switch/router) infrastructure

Monitor and manage customer hosting solutions, as defined by agreed SLAs.

Assist sales team in designing and implementing customer solutions

Perform occasional “out of hours” maintenance on both customer and datacenter equipment
- Produce, manage, and maintain documents and records of all customer elements inside the Datacenter
Knowledge/ Experience required:
Technical:
-
Cisco Switches, Router configuration and troubleshooting.
-
Strong Solaris OS and Linux
-
Load balancing, i.e. F5 an advantage.
-
Backup software, especially Vertias NetBackup.
-
Web server software i.e. Apache, IIS
-
Knowledge of large networks, switches and routers, TCP/IP, OSPF etc.

Experience configuring CISCO and Extreme switching technology
-
Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems required, i.e Windows 2000 server etc.

Knowledge of Firewalls required Checkpoint and PIX Cisco.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

English required, French and/or German required, other European languages highly desired.
